The IntelliJ plugin is available directly on the IntelliJ marketplace. You can directly install it within IntelliJ.
The Code Inspector IntelliJ plugin surfaces all issues detected by Code Inspector directly in IntelliJ. No need to install any special tool on your laptop, the plugin surfaces:
- code violations such as vulnerabilities, lack of documentation, safety issues and much more
- complex functions: any function with high cyclomatic complexity
- long functions: any function longer than 40 lines
- code duplicates: any code that has been duplicated through the codebase and should be refactored into functions.
The Code Inspector plugin is available on the IntelliJ marketplace. Look for it within IntelliJ, you can install it in a click!
Once the API keys are validated, you associate your Code Inspector project with your IntelliJ project as shown below.
Project configuration (optional)
You can connect a Code Inspector project to your IntelliJ project. To do so, select the Code Inspector project that corresponds to your IntelliJ project in the project preferences as shown below.
If you decide not to link a project, your project preferences will not be applied within IntelliJ (ignored violations, line length, etc.).
Quick actions within IntelliJ
Code Inspector will annotate your source code and surface all issues it detects. You can select to learn more about each violation, see them on Code Inspector or just ignore it.
